Why Foreigners Find It Hard to Settle Down in Korea?D

According to the ‘Expat Insider 2022’ survey, foreigners living in Korea showed overall low life satisfaction. In fact, Korea ranked 40th out of 52 countries in the survey. Please see below for some more details.

Quality of Life
Korea ranked pretty high in this category (9th). Expats are especially satisfied with Korea’s healthcare system (2nd) and travel & transportation convenience (4th). Safety ranked 20th and the weather ranked 38th.

The Difficulty of Settling Down
Korea showed very low performance on these criteria. Foreinger hospitality culture ranked 48th, and friendly environment ranked 42th. The work enviornemnt ranked 31th, and work culture & satisfaction ranked 47th.

Meanwhile, Mexico was selected as the best country for foreigners to live in. Indonesia came in second and Taiwan came in thrid. Kuwait ranked the lowest among 52 countries.
