Why Is There A Picture of an Eagle At the Exit of Hapjeong Station?

Photos of Eagles Have Been Attached At the Exits of Seoul’s Hapjeong Subway Station

People have made various speculations, such as “Is it a prank or not?” on online communities and social media. An official at Hapjeong Station explained that the eagle was posted in response to a complaint that pigeons were entering the station.

However, it is unclear whether the eagle photo will be effective in preventing pigeons from entering the station. Bird experts explained that eagle photos would not do much to deter pigeons from entering the station as they learn to avoid birds of prey when they see them.
